Sorting by Beginning Letter Sound SMART board activity & Summer Teacher Binder Covers

I have been spending my spare time today making some new things :) I made a SMART board activity for students to practice working on beginning sounds by sorting pictures.  I also had a request to make a summer theme Teacher Binder Covers and forms. Check both out below!

Sorting by Beginning Letter Sound 

SMART board Activity

 This is a "notebook" file for a SMART board. This activity students will look at a picture and determine the beginning letter. Students will move the picture to the correct jar. Each slide has two letters to sort between. This activity can be used as a mini lesson, word work, or a literacy center.

Beginnings Sounds Sort C or P

This is beginning sound activity that students can do in a literacy center.

There is a P mat and C mat. Students will take a picture card and figure out the beginning letter sound and place it on the correct mat. After students have finished sorting the cards there is a response sheet. Students cut out the pictures and paste them under the correct beginning letter sound.

What a busy day... I have been working all day long at Zales.  As soon as I got home I was not feeling too well.  I sat down on the couch and started to relax.  I decided to create some covers for my notebooks at school and a sign in sheet and transportation sheet for the beginning of the year.  I have uploaded these to my TPT store. After I made those, I decided to make something I saw on Pinterest :) I took a picture frame and put notebook paper in the inside and added ribbon.  You can use the outside glass as a dry erase board to keep reminders/to do's on or to check students understanding. I am so excited to be using them this year :)
